The implementation of this scheme requires a financial allocation of ₹959.05 crore.

Additionally, the government intends to distribute two complimentary jute carry bags, with capacities of 20 kg and 10 kg respectively, estimated to cost ₹278.69 crore. This step is taken in response to the rising prices of essential commodities and the challenges faced by PDS-supported households.
