The state Government of Odisha has launched this Yojana to protect and showcase the heritage of weavers and handicraft workers in the state of Odisha. Under this scheme, the Odisha Government will provide financial assistance to weavers and handicraft workers of the state to promote their business and they can continue their work without any financial trouble. Financial assistance of INR 2000 per month will be provided to female weavers weaving assistants and artisans in the age group of 40 to 80 years while male weavers and weaving assistants and artisans in the age group of 50 to 80 years. The financial assistance will be transferred by the state Govt. directly to the beneficiary’s bank account by the DBT mode.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants must be permanent resident of Odisha state.
- Applicants name must be registered as weaver and helpers engaged in weaving and handicraft in the survey list prepared by the Director of Textiles and Director of Handicraft.
- The annual family income of the applicants must not exceed INR 1 lakh.
- Applicants must have not been beneficiaries of any corresponding scheme by the state Government and central Government.
- One person from the family can get the benefits in this scheme only.
- The applicant must not be Govt. servant, taxpayer of pensioner of the central or state Government.
