Odisha NUA-O Scholarship 2024
The NUA-O Scholarship was unveiled during a cabinet meeting held on February 12th by the Odisha government. The decision to launch this scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students comes ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections. The government has announced that it will provide annual scholarships ranging from ₹9,000 to ₹11,000 to 4,50,000 undergraduate and 32,000 graduate students enrolled in state universities, government and non-government aided colleges, and aided Sanskrit colleges under the Higher Education department.
UPDATE:- The government is dedicated to the expansion of program activities under ‘Nua-O.’ This entails the arrangement of district and state-level sports competitions to enhance sports outreach at the grassroots level. Additionally, there is a focus on boosting student engagement in district-level “Nua-O” Fest events, along with the introduction of Nua-O scholarships for students. The program budget has been adjusted to Rs. 315 Cr.

Objective of NUA-O Scholarship
The Odisha government is set to provide scholarships to postgraduate and general degree students under the Nua-O program. The primary aim of the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha project is youth empowerment. Female students are eligible for Rs 10,000, while male students will receive Rs 9,000 each.
