YSR Law Nestham Scheme 2024
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state Mr. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched YSR Law Nestham Scheme for the junior lawyers of Andhra Pradesh state. This scheme was released on the occasion of National Lawyer’s Day. Under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs.5,000 to the junior lawyers & advocates of Andhra Pradesh state so that they can bear their expenses. A list of selected beneficiaries will be released under YSR Law Nestham Scheme. Again after 3 months the same process will be done & new applicants will get the benefit of this scheme. The proper policy & procedure has been drafted by the concerned department to draft beneficiary list and run this scheme smoothly.
UPDATE:- As you already know the Andhra Pradesh government is giving Rs.5,000 financial assistance to the junior lawyers & advocates of the state through the YSR Law2 Nestham Scheme. Now, there is the latest update about the stipend given in this scheme. The CM YS Jagan said the financial support given to junior advocates will be for 3 initial years after the enrollment. The budget of Rs.7.98 crore will be announced for the 2nd tranche of the year 2023 – 24. This will benefit 2,807 junior advocates. An amount of Rs.30,000 each, covering from July to December 2023 will be credited to their respective bank accounts.
The total stipend of Rs.1.80 lakh will be given over a period of 3 years to junior advocates. Instead of paying the Rs.5,000 stipend every month, the government has decided to pay 6 monthly stipend together. The CM said the state government has extended Rs.49.51 crore as financial assistance to 6,069 advocates after the launch of this scheme. CM also asked the junior advocates to help poor people after they settle down in their profession.
The AP government has set a fund of Rs. 100 crore to help Advocate Welfare Trust in different ways. Financial help during the lockdown period or COVID-19 has been already provided by the government.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply or get benefit of any scheme, the candidate has to be eligible for that scheme. Below we have provided you the eligibility criteria to apply for YSR Nestham Scheme –
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state.
- Applicant must have a domicile of Andhra Pradesh state.
- To get benefit, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in law subject.
- Applicants must be registered in the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh.
- The applicant must have a practice certificate of 2 years.
- An affidavit from a senior lawyer is required to check that the applicant’s status of practice is Active.
- Fresher’s who have pass out after 2019 are eligible for this scheme.
- The maximum age of the applicant is 35 years.

Procedure To Apply For YSR Law Nestham Scheme 2024
- Firstly, you have to visit the Official Website of Law Department of Andhra Pradesh.
- Then on the homepage, click on ‘Apply Online’ option.
- new page will appear. There you have to fill mobile number & captcha code.
- After that OTP will come on your number.
- Fill that OTP in the OTP box. Verification is complete.
- A new page will appear with an application form.
- Fill all the required details on that page such as Name, Age, gender etc.
- Now you have to upload all the required documents.
- Then click on ‘Submit’ button.
- You have successfully applied for this scheme.
