    The Chief Minister of Karnataka state Mr.Basavaraj Bommai has launched Swami Vivekananda Yuvashakti Yojana for the youth of Karnataka state. This scheme aims to empower youth of rural and urban area by providing financial assistance and various skills training. This scheme is for all the sections including SC/ST of Karnataka state. The government will provide training to 10 lakh people & then they will make Self Help Groups (SHGs).  The government will give Rs.1.50 lakh to each group so that they can create job opportunities in that particular area.     Geetha Karmikula Insurance scheme was launched by the Chief Minister of Telangana state Mr. K Chandrashekhar Rao at the newly built Dr. BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. During the launched event of this scheme Mr. KCR expressed his concern that during the toddy tapping, many unfortunate incidents of accidental slips and loss of lives take place, so this is the responsibility of the government to support the families of the toddy workers who died in such incident. So this scheme will provide insurance to the tappers who fall from the palm trees while doing toddy tapping. In this scheme government is providing insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs to the toddy tappers of the state.
