The respected Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Mr. Eknath Shinde has launched the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s Aspirational Women Empowerment Scheme under which the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1 Lakh to all the Self-Help Group (SHG) for repaying loans which was taken under different government schemes. This scheme will uplift the social status and standard of living of female citizens. This scheme was announced on Friday, 15th March 2024 with the total budget of Rs. 60 Crores to encourage self-employment among women. The beneficiaries who have borrowed Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 20,000 under MUDRA or SvaNidhi Scheme will receive the financial assistance of Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 4,000 respectively. Today, 70,000 women benefited from this scheme.
