The Women and Child Department & Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Ajit Pawar have introduced the Maharashtra Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme 2024. Under this scheme, the government will subsidize 20% of the cost for unemployed women who will contribute 10%, with the remaining 70% covered by bank loans. The Maharashtra government has introduced the Maharashtra Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme 2024 to enhance job opportunities for women & ensure the safety of women commuters in cities. 5,000 pink rickshaws have been proposed for the 1st year of the Pink E-Rickshaw Scheme.
