About 300 Units Free Electricity Scheme 2024
On February, 29 the Union Cabinet of India has approved a rooftop solar scheme under the name of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana which will provide free electricity upto 300 Units. Under this scheme the government will install rooftop solar panels in about 1 Crore households with a total budget of Rs. 75,000 Crore. Eligible beneficiaries will get free electricity for up to 300 units per month. The scheme provides central financial assistance of Rs. 30,000/- for 1 kW system to each household, Rs. 60,000/- for 2 kW System to each household and Rs. 78,000/- for 3 kW system or higher to each household. The scheme will help in more income, lesser power bills and employment generation for people.
