About Sarathi Parivahan Sewa

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India has introduced Sarathi Parivahan Sewa portal for the citizens of India. Under this portal the Ministry has been facilitating computerization Road Transport Offices (RTOs) of over more than 1300 across the country. The portal provide better services to Transport Department as well as to the citizens. Their mission is to automate all Vehicle Registration and Driving License related activities in transport authorities across country by providing smart card technology. This will help to a large extent in removing hassles and queues faced by citizens while visiting RTOs for elementary types of transactions. This will also minimize the extensive paperwork.

Procedure to Apply for DL Using Sarathi Parivahan Sewa

To apply for DL using Sarathi Parivahan Sewa portal, please follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit Official Website at https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/.
  • On homepage select the concerned State.
  • Click on “New Driving License” option under the drop down menu of Driving License.
  • Enter the required details such as Learner’s License Number, Date of Birth and Captcha Code.
  • Click on OK button.
  • On the designated date, click the Next option and proceed to the RTO office with the original document and the fee receipt.
