This scheme was started by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M. K. Stalin at the conference held at IIT- Madras. This scheme was started to inspire or to educate government school students to make career in the electronic sciences. More than 1 lakhs students can take the benefit of this scheme annually. In this scheme government is going to provide Rs. 1000 stipend to the students studying in class 10th till they finish class 12th. And Rs. 12,000 per year during UG/PG course. Only 1000 students can take the benefit of this scheme. Only students who wanted to make career in electronic science can take the benefit of this scheme. The amount of financial assistance will be directly sent to the beneficiary account through DBT mode.

The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the students and to inspire or to educate government school students to make career in the electronic sciences. In this scheme IIT Madras is going to trained 252 teachers who are going to trained students of rural areas. In this scheme government is going to provide 12000 per year to the selected students.
