About Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme
Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh announced the amendment for State Marriage Assistance Scheme for poor girls of marriageable age. Those poor girls who belongs to either AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) or PHH (Priority Households) ration card holder families will be eligible to avail the benefit under the scheme. The administration will provide one time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 for girls marriage. The financial assistance will be provided before the girls marriage. In case of bride/groom or both are person with benchmark disability (divyangjan) which comes under ‘The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016’ the financial assistance of Rs. 1,00,000 will be provided.

The objectives of the Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme are as follows:

Here are some benefits & features of Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Yojana, which are as follows:
- The administration has made a proposal to provide financial assistance to those families who are facing difficulties in getting their daughters marriage due to financial issues.
- The administration will provide one time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,00,000.

Eligibility Criteria
To avail the benefit under Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme, you should fulfil these eligibility criteria:
- Applicant should be a permanent resident of Ladakh.
- Applicant should be a girl.
- Age of the girl who is getting married should be 18 years old or above.
- Age of the prospective groom must be 21 years old at least.
- Applicant should belong to either AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) or PHH (Priority Households) ration card holder families.
Required Documents
To avail the benefit under Ladakh State Marriage Assistance Scheme, candidates should have these following documents:
- Proof of Age of prospective beneficiary & prospective groom
- AAY/PHH Ration Card in which Applicant’s or her Father/Husband (in case of widow) name is mentioned
- Residence Certificate
- In absence of document at Sr. No. 2/3, Certificate issued by S.D.M/Tehsildar
- Aadhar Card of the Applicant & prospective groom
- Two Photograph each of the Applicant & prospective groom
- Death Certificate of ex-Husband in case of widow applicant
- Divorce decree issued by a court in case of divorced applicant
- In case of unmarried female applicant, an affidavit stated that she has not been married before
- UDID Card Copy or Certificate of Disability as per order no with date
