About Gujarat Housing Board Scheme
Gujarat Housing Board came into existence to improve the living standard of a common people who belongs to economically weaker section of society by providing houses at an affordable price which will help in their economic condition. The Board came into existence on 1st May 1960 and was established in 1961 after the formation of separate states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. 522 LIG-II units at Bhuj have been completed by Gujarat Housing Board having 135 sq. carpet area with one Bed Room, Hall and Kitchen. About 1,76,830 houses were constructed by Gujarat Housing Board. To make the procedure transparent, the computer draws are now conducted by NIC in the presence of concerned applicant.
