The former Chief Minister of Punjab state Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi has launched Scheme. Through this scheme, the Punjab government will grant houses or property rights to the people who are living in those houses or property. The area must be situated within the Lal Dora/Lal Lakir of villages and cities. The Lal Lakir area is the land which can be classified under village property but cannot be for agricultural works or farming. The government has introduce this scheme on October 11, 2021. There are total 12,700 villages which will get benefit of this scheme. The Punjab government along with the Revenue Department will done the digital mapping before distribution of land. The government will complete this whole process in 2 months. Now, with this scheme the residents of Lal Dora of villages and cities will be given their ownership rights.

The government of Punjab state has released Scheme with the objective to provide ownership rights to residents who are situated within the Lal Dora/Lal Lakir of villages and cities. Now, the residents will finally able to call the property in which they are living their own house. The revenue department of Punjab state will carry a drone survey in rural and urban areas for digital mapping. This whole process will take 2 months. During this process, the government also allows beneficiaries to sell or take a loan from bank.
