The Punjab Aashirwaad Scheme was launched by Punjab Government to provide financial assistance to economically backward females, scheduled caste females and scheduled tribes female during their marriage. Through this scheme, the government will give Rs.15,000 to Rs.21,000 to females during their marriage. The benefit of this scheme will be only given to females whose age is 18 years and above. Approximately 10,873 females will receive Rs.22 crores through this Punjab Aashirwaad Scheme. The Punjab government has spent Rs.129.29 crore on the 25,399 recipients of this Punjab aashirwad scheme.
