Around 1 million women in Tamil Nadu can take advantage of this scheme. In this scheme, Rs. 1000 per month will be given to the beneficiary. 27th July Update:-
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin distributed applications in the Dharmapuri district on July 24. Many people all over the state submitted the application of the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. Around 36, 06,9740 applications have been received in the 3 days since the distribution started.
To make the registration process smooth, about 34,350 volunteers participated to help. In the second phase of registration, the state government conducted 14,825 ration shop registration camps. The camps hosted between August 5 and August 16.
19th July Update-
The camp will be conducted in two phases to run the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam scheme. The first phase was conducted from July 24 to August 4 in 98 wards. The second phase was organized from August 5 through August 16, in 102 wards. The state government decided to announce the scheme on September 15. It has been suggested that no need to rush to the camps. The police were given the training to gather biometric data. The time of the camp is 9.30 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5. 30 pm, on Sundays. It is necessary to carry an Aadhaar, ration card, power bill, and bank passbook. About 703 people were assigned to help desks.
