Krishak Bandhu Scheme 2024
This scheme was launched by the chief minister of the state of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee Mamata Banerjee. This scheme was launched in order to provide financial services to the farmers who belong to economically weaker sections of society. Krishak Bandhu Scheme will help the farmers to complete their needs and to meet their expenses the farmers will also get land along with the money. The chief minister of West Bengal has stated that she has made some changes in this scheme. The changes are that the amount of the benefit is doubled by 17 June 2021 the previous amount was 5000 and the current amount is 10000 the farmers were having 1-acre land but now they are having more than this through this scheme.

Krishak Bandhu Scheme Objectives
The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the farmers. The farmers who belong to the economically weaker section of the society can take the advantage of this. This scheme will provide them with financial services and also give them insurance of rupees two lakhs. The chief minister has stated that She has made some changes in the scheme on 17 June 2021. The scheme is giving an amount of Rs.5000 to the farmers previously. Those farmers who have cultivable Land below 1 acre will get Rs 4000 per annum instead of Rs 2,000 on a Pro-rata basis. The Krishak Bandhu Scheme WB came into effect in 2018 and till February 2021, 1500 crore has been spent for implementation of this scheme.
- Other than that if a farmer dies within the age limit of 60 years then under this scheme the farmer will be provided a death benefit of Rs 200000
- Krishak Bandhu Scheme West Bengal is now giving Rs.10000 to the farmers

Krishak Bandhu Scheme Components

- Assured Income-In assured income the benefit will be provided to the farmers who are selected in the scheme. The scheme has these options
- Farmers with one or more acre landholding are entitled to get Rs. 5000 p.a for both Rabi & Kharif Seasons.
- 1st installment will be provided in the month of June
- The 2nd installment will be provided in the month of November.
- Also, farmers would be given minimum assistance of Rs. 2000 per annum on a pro-rata basis.,
- Death Benefit-This scheme will provide a life insurance of Rs.20000 to the farmers who die accidentally. The farmers from the age of 18 to 60 can avail the benefit of the scheme
