Khela Hobe Scheme:- There is good news for the residents of West Bengal as soon the state will be introducing its own guaranteed employment program. The chief minister of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee made an announcement regarding the Khela Hobe Scheme on Friday. This was decided after the central government stopped MGNREGS funding for Bengal. It will be made sure that holders of NREGS job cards in the state will get 30 workdays instead of 26 workdays. In January 2022, the financing of the program was stopped. Under this scheme, jobs will be given to the people who cards holders. The state has given the best performance over the previous five years.

According to the estimation of central government, around 2.6 crore people took part in the 100-day labor plan under NREGS but that number reduced to1.4 crore.
