About Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme 2024
The Assam government has started Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme (EHAS). Under this scheme, the Assam government will provide cashless treatment to the government employee, pensioners and their family members through the insurance company. There are more than 4 lakh beneficiaries included in this scheme. The government employee will get the benefit of this scheme on regular basis but the pensioners will get the benefit only on alternate days.

Employee Health Assurance Scheme 2024 Objective
The main objective of government to start Employee Health Assurance Scheme is to save the government employees from diseases like cold, fever, cough and COVID 19 etc. This scheme will give cashless treatment to government employees of Assam. The insurance company will paid all the expenses of government employees in hospitals.

- The Assam government has started Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme.
- Under this scheme, the Assam government will provide cashless treatment to the government employee, pensioners and their family members through the insurance company.
- There are more than 4 lakh beneficiaries included in this scheme.

- There are 2 types of insurance packages available under this scheme.
- The insurance package for employees will be finalized by Assam committe which will be constituted by Department of Health & Family Welfare.

EHAS Insurance Premium Amount
The premium amount for this health insurance will be paid by Assam government on the behalf of government employees. As an estimation of Assam government, 4.3 lakh employees & pensioners will get benefit of this scheme.
Basic Benefit Package
The basic benefit package includes procedure cost, implant cost, and room charges. The insurance will pay all the expenses cause as specified according to the packages received by the beneficiaries during the treatment as per the medical-surgical and Day Care procedures.
Additional Benefits Packages
The additional benefit packages will be provided with insurance coverage and above original coverage for the specified diseases. This package includes all the diseases from day one and the beneficiaries will not be required to wait for the treatment.
Health Assurance Scheme of Assam Eligibility Criteria
To get benefited by Assam Employee Health Assurance Scheme, the candidates has to complete the written below eligibility-
- The candidate who is applying should be a permanent resident of Assam state.
- The candidate must have a domicile of Assam state.
- Only government employees will get the benefit of this scheme.
- This scheme will also cover newly recruited employees & their family members.
- The employee who is applying must be a member of EHAS as they will get the benefit of this scheme on the first day of commencement of scheme.
- Pensioners are also welcomed to get the benefit of this scheme.
