Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme
The Abhinandan Education Loan Scheme was firstly launched in September, 2023. At that the time the Assam government has provided Rs.50,000 to all those students who has applied for educational loan from bank to study higher education. The amount of Rs.50,000 has been distributed among 1500 students. Now again the government of Assam has re – introduced this scheme for the students of Assam. The students whose financial condition is not well and they wanted to complete their higher studies can apply for this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam state.
- The applicant should have domicile of Assam state.
- The loan for this scheme is only sanctioned by scheduled commercial bank or regional rural bank of Assam state.
- Education loan amounting to Rs. 1 lakh or more sanctioned before March 31, 2020 comes under this scheme.
- Education loan sanctioned after 1st April 2020 after disbursement of 25% sanctioned loan amount also comes under this scheme.
- Applicants who are taking the benefit of Bidya Lakhsmi Scheme are not eligible to apply for this scheme.
- Status of loan amount must not under NPA.

Procedure To Apply For Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme 2024
- Firstly, the candidate has to visit the Official Website of Assam Finance Loan Department.
- Then on homepage, you have to click on ‘Abhinandan Loan Subsidy Scheme Apply’.
- A new page will appear with an application form. Fill all the required details on the form such as Name, Father’s name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address etc.
- Upload all the required documents & tick the checkbox.
- Click on ‘Save’ option. Do not forget to take a printout of the application form for further use.
Procedure To Track Application Status
- Firstly, the candidate has to visit the Official Website of Assam Finance Loan Department.
- Then on homepage, you have to click on ‘Application Tracking Option’.
- A new page will appear. Write your Mobile number, loan account number & Application number.
- Then click on ‘Submit’ option. A new page will appear with your application status.
