Former Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr. S. M. Krishna has launched Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme on June 1, 2003. This scheme is specially designed for the farmers who are members of the state cooperative societies. According to the report, there are around 13.74 million farmers in the State of Karnataka, many of whom do not even get proper healthcare. Procedure to Claim Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme

To claim Yeshasvini Health Insurance Yojana, an individual should approach its network hospital and follow the given procedures:

  • Visit a network hospital which comes under the scheme.
  • Get in touch with a medical coordinating officer and provide all the relevant documents.
  • Once the documents are verified, you need to pay the enrolment fee for medical tests.
  • On the basis of diagnosis, if medical surgery is needed, a pre-authorization request will be sent to the Management Service Provider (MSP).
  • The MSP will verify the request and provides approval for cashless treatment.
  • Post-discharge, the hospital will send the discharge summary and bills to MSP for claim settlement.
