The government of Telangana has announced the launch of “6 Guarantees – Maha Lakshmi” scheme under which girls and women of all age group and transgender persons who are domicile of Telangana State can travel for free now in Telangana State Road Transport Corporation buses. Travel in inter-state express and Palle velugu buses will be free up to the borders of Telangana state. This scheme brought about substantial improvements in the lives of women of Telangana State. This will reduce the financial burden faced by many women in the state.
