About TN Marriage Assistance Scheme 2024
The government of Tamil Nadu state has released TN Marriage Assistance Scheme. This scheme is launched for poor and economically backward families who due to their bad financial condition cannot bear the expense of their daughter’s marriage. In this scheme, the Tamil Nadu government is providing financial assistance of Rs.25,000 to Rs.50,000 along with 8gm gold coin to the economically weaker girl family at the time of their girl marriage. Now, the bride’s family does not have to depend on anyone for their daughter’s marriage. The benefit of this scheme will be only given to females who belong to economically backward & weaker section of society.

TN Marriage Assistance Scheme 2024 Objective
The main objective to launch TN Marriage Assistance Scheme is to provide financial help to economically backward & poor families during the marriage of their daughter. Through this scheme, the Tamil Nadu government will help poor families for paying the expense of their daughter’s wedding. This scheme will not only provide financial help at the time of marriage but will also encourage parents to give proper education to girl child & ensures that boy & girl marries at their appropriate age.
Types of TN Marriage Assistance Scheme
E.V.R Maniammaiyar Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Daughters of Poor Widows
- This program provides financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 for High School graduates and Rs.50,000 for degree or diploma holders to the daughters of poor widows.
- The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.72,000.
Annai Therasa Ninaivu Marriage Assistance Scheme for Orphan Girls
- This program provides financial assistance of Rs.25,000 for High School graduates and Rs.50,000 for degree or diploma holders to orphan girls at the time of marriage.
- No income limit is given in this program.
Moolvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Ninavu Marriage Assistance Scheme
- This program provides financial assistance of either Rs.25,000 or Rs.50,000 to the bride. If the bride has completed 10th grade, she will receive Rs.25,000, and if she has a degree or diploma from a recognized institution, she will receive Rs.50,000.
- The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.72,000.
Dr Dharmambal Amaiyar Ninaivu Widow Remarriage Assistance Scheme
- This program provides financial assistance of Rs.25,000 to widows who remarry, along with a 4-gram gold coin.
- No income limit is given in this program.
Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy Ninaivu Inter Caste Marriage Assistance Scheme
- This program provides financial assistance of Rs.25,000 for inter-caste marriages, along with a 4-gram gold coin.

TN Marriage Assistance Scheme Eligibility Criteria

- The girl applicant must be an resident of Tamil Nadu state.
- Applicant must have a domicile of Tamil Nadu state.
