The State Government of Telangana has launched ‘Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme’ for all students studying in government schools across the state. The scheme will be implemented for about 23 lakh students in 27,147 schools. Food menu will change on daily basis so the students do not feel boredom by eating same food every day. The students will be provided idli with sambar, puri with kurma, upma, poha, pongal or vegetable pulav for breakfast under this scheme. This breakfast will be provided 40 minutes before school time. This scheme will benefit to the students of classes 1 to 10.

Process of Monitoring under Telangana Breakfast Scheme
- School head master will supervises at the school.
- Complex Head Master monitors all the schools in their school complex.
- The Mandal Nodal Officer monitors all the schools in the mandal.
- The District Educational Officer monitors all the schools in the district, along with the community coordinator of Samagra Shiksha.
- Tracking of the Breakfast will be done through Mobile App and Online software.
- The program is implemented in convergence with Panchayat Raj, Women Development & Child Welfare Departments.
- The School Education Department is the Nodal Department.
- In areas covered by Corporations, the Commissioner is the Supervisory/Nodal officer
- At the District level, the Additional Collector Local bodies is the overall Supervisory officer for all the schools in the district.
- Quality checks of food will be done periodical by Food Inspectors.

There is no application procedure for Telangana Breakfast Scheme as all the students studying in government schools across the state are eligible for the scheme. The scheme will be implemented for about 23 lakh students in 27,147 schools. The scheme was launched on all government schools on 6 October and it is automatically be implemented on all students studying in government schools.
