On Wednesday March 13, 2024 Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi says Goal of Viksit Bharat cannot achieved without development of underprivileged segments. So keeping an eye on the Prime Minister has launched PM SURAJ Portal. Prime Minister said that the government has spent about Rs. 1.60 Lakh crore for the welfare of the Scheduled Caste (SC) Community this year alone. The significance of initiating PM SURAJ is providing financial assistance directly to the beneficiaries removing the middleman and commissions. About three lakh beneficiaries of various government schemes from disadvantaged groups have joined the programs from over 470 districts across the country.
