The Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren Singh has started the Manipur Permanent Housing Scheme for the people of Manipur. This scheme was launched on November 9th, 2023. Under the Manipur Permanent Housing scheme, the Manipur government will provide financial assistance for the reconstruction of houses that were destroyed or burnt down during recent violence. During the launch of this scheme on 9th November 2023, the CM also distributed some cheques to the beneficiaries of this scheme. The beneficiaries of Kakching, East Imphal&Bishnupur Districts have some cheques. The total budget of this scheme is Rs.360 crores.

Manipur Permanent Housing Scheme Objective
The main objective of the Manipur government in launching the Manipur Permanent Housing Scheme is to provide financial support to those displaced families. There are thousands of people who lose their houses during violence. To support those people government has started this housing scheme. This scheme will provide financial assistance to reconstruct their houses. The amount provided under this scheme will be given in 2 installments to the beneficiaries. The Manipur government has set a budget of Rs.360 crores to complete this scheme.
Amount Provided will be in Installments
The amount provided by the state government under Manipur Permanent Housing Scheme will be given in 2 installments. If you are eligible & got the 1st installment of this scheme then at the time of the 2nd installment you have to submit the pictures of your constructed house as proof. Without the pictures, you will not be able to get the installment amount of this scheme. If anyone wants fewer construction workers then they can contact the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) through the district commissioner for assistance.

- Those houses affected by violence on 3rd May 2023 are only eligible for this scheme.
- Houses like Kutcha house, Puccahouse & Semi Pucca house are eligible for this scheme.
