About Karnataka Arundhati Scheme

The Karnataka Arundhati Scheme is launched by Karnataka government in order to help Brahmins. Through Arundhati Scheme, the government will provide monetary help to the bride of the Brahmin’s family in order to cover the cost of the wedding expenses. This scheme will help financially and economically backward people of Karnataka state. The government will give 25,000 rupees to the Brahmin Family to cover the cost of wedding. As per the latest update, the Karnataka government will give Rs.25,000 to 550 families of the Brahmin’s family. There are total 3% Brahmins in Karnataka state.

The main objective of Karnataka government to launch Karnataka Arundhati Scheme is to help Brahmin’s. In Karnataka state, the Brahmin community is financially weak and they are not able to arrange the marriage of their daughters. To support Brahmins the government has launched Karnataka Scheme and the Maitri scheme. These both schemes are for Brahmins of Karnataka state. In Arundhati Scheme, the Karnataka government would provide monetary help to the bride of the Brahmin’s family in order to cover the cost of the wedding expenses. Under the Maitri Scheme, the Karnataka government will provide financial assistance to the bride only in case if she marries a priest (Chakras and Purohits).

Under the Maitri Scheme, the Karnataka government will provide financial assistance to the bride only in case if she marries a priest (Chakras and Purohits). The financial assistance of Rs.3 lakhs will be provided to the girl if she marries a priest. There are 3% of Brahmins in Karnataka State. Through these 2 schemes, the government wanted to improve the financial status of Brahmin’s in Karnataka state. Due to unpredictability in Brahmin’s profession, the government has started these 2 schemes.

To get benefited by Karnataka Scheme, the applicant has to complete the written below eligibility-

  • The farmer who is applying should be a permanent resident of Karnataka state.
  • The farmer must have a domicile of Karnataka state.
  • The bride family should belong to Brahmin’s community.
  • This should be first marriage of Bride & Groom.
  • The couple has to be married for at least 5 years.
