About Inspire Scholarship 2023
INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) is a scholarship that is launched by the government of India along with the Ministry of Science & Technology. This scholarship is launched to support students who are financially unstable & wanted to make a career in science. For the students who give up on their dreams due to lack of money, this scholarship will help them. This scheme was first launched on November 13, 2008. At that time, the financial budget allotted to this scheme was almost 1900 crores. For the next 5 years, from selection, the students will receive this scholarship. It will help all the students who are studying science & technology. In this Inspire scholarship, there are 3 types –
- SEAT (Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent)
- SHE (Scholarship for higher education)
- AORC (Assured Opportunity for Research Career)
NOTE: The call for application under INSPIRE Fellowship- 2022 has been extended to 31st January 2023.

Inspire Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate who is applying must be an Indian citizen.
- Student who is applying for this scholarship must be enrolled in a recognized university/institution.
- The students who have scored in the top 1% of their class 12th examination by the central or state board are eligible.
- The student must be pursuing natural & fundamental sciences courses at the B.Sc., BS, or combined MSc/ MS level.
- The student pursuing MS programs in natural and basic sciences at IISER, NISER, and the Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences, University of Mumbai, Visva Bharati, Shantiniketan who scored in the top 1% of their class in India’s class 12th test can also apply.
- All students who have received a top 10000 rank in the JEE of IIT, and AIPMT, and pursuing natural basic sciences courses in India are eligible to apply.
- Students who have been selected under the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana and are pursuing bachelor or master-level natural science courses are eligible to apply.
- Students who have passed the National Talent Search Examination, Jagdish Bose National Talent, or are international Olympiad medalists and are studying natural sciences at the bachelor’s or master’s level also eligible to apply.

Types of Scholarship
There are 3 types of scholarships in INSPIRE Scholarship program –
SEAT (Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent)
Talented students are drawn to science through the Inspire Scholarship Scheme. To lure pupils, 1 million young learners in the age group of 10 to 15 years old, ranging from class 6 to class 10th, would get an Inspire Award of Rs 5000. Aside from that, on an annual basis, summer camps are organized for 50000 Science students in class 11th with global experts in science so that students can experience the thrill of creativity.
SHE (Scholarship for Higher Education)
This program was created to enhance participation in higher education in science-intensive programs. Every year, 10000 students receive a scholarship and mentorship of Rs 0.80 lakh through this initiative. Students between the ages of 17 and 22 can take advantage of this program to pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees in natural sciences. Every beneficiary receives mentorship support through this program.
AORC (Assured Opportunity for Research Career)
It is a program designed to retain and nurture talented young scientific people resources, thereby strengthening the research and development foundation and base. This program is broken down into two parts. The first step is to instill a sense of community. Students between the ages of 22 and 27 are granted 1000 scholarships each year through this fellowship to pursue a doctoral degree in basic and applied sciences, such as engineering and medicine. The second component is an inspired faculty plan that provides a five-year contract and tenure-track chance to 1000 postdoctoral researchers in basic and applied science fields who are between the ages of 27 and 32.

- After clicking a new page will appear with a registration form.
- Now, you have to fill in all the required details such as name, educational qualification, institute, etc., and upload all the required documents.

- Then, you must enter your login credentials to access the website.
- Now, on the new page click on INSPIRE scholarship.

- Take a printout of the application form for future use.
