Objective Of Gujarat Two Wheeler Scheme
As we all know, due to the excessive pollution that is caused by the fuel vehicle, causing several diseases to the people of the state. And this situation creates a bad impact on the health of children and the people of the state. To cope up with the situation across the Gujarat state, the chief minister of Gujarat has launched a new scheme known as Go Green Yojana. Under this scheme, the subsidy will be provided to the organized and unorganized sector workers in order to encourage people to purchase electric vehicles. The main objective of launching this scheme is to encourage people to purchase electric vehicles in order to reduce pollution across the state.

Launching Of Gujarat Two Wheeler Scheme
On 25th October 2021, the Chief Minister of Gujarat state launched the Gujarat Two Wheeler Scheme so that the consumers purchasing 2 wheeler vehicles will be able to get subsidies provided on it after getting enrolled under this scheme. The subsidy will only be given to them if they are purchasing electric scooters which will help them in decreasing air pollution from the environment.
Facilitation Of Subsidy
Only the workers of the unorganized workers will be able to get a subsidy facility provided to them for purchasing an electric scooter. 30% of the subsidy will be provided to the applicants purchasing scooters from industrial labour. Those workers who are working in the construction sector will be able to get a 50% of the subsidy for the purchase of e-scooter.
Distribution Of 2,000 Of EVs
Government is going to distribute or provide subsidies for the purchase of Electric two-wheeler vehicles to around 2,000 constructions workers and workers of organized sectors. These electric 2 wheeler vehicles will serve 50 KMs on a single charge. For getting this, the consumers will need to make their registration on the portal along with the necessary documents and also need to select their EV.
Pollution Free Environment One of the main aims of launching this scheme is to provide a pollution-free environment in which the citizen will be able to take breathe in the qualitative air free from the air pollutants. This scheme will encourage the workers for purchasing electric two-wheeler vehicles alongwith getting a subsidy facility for it.
Subsidy Under Go Green Yojana/ ગો-ગ્રીન યોજના
The subsidy which will be provided to organized for unorganized workers to purchase electric vehicles is as follows:-
- Under ગો-ગ્રીન યોજના, of worker in the organised sector like and industrial labour will get 30% of the cost of the vehicle or. Rs. 30,000 on the purchase of battery operated two vehicles.
- Under the Go Green Yojana, workers in the construction sector will get 50% of the subsidy or Rs. 30,000 for the purchase of batteries operated by vehicles.
- Both of these categories of e vehicle buyers will get one time subsidy on RTO registration and road tax.
First Phase Of Gujarat Two Wheeler Scheme
In the first phase of this scheme, the state government aims to provide battery-operated vehicles to around 1,000 construction workers and 2000 organized sector workers. Only the government-approved made-in-India vehicles will be considered eligible for Gujarat Two Wheeler Scheme. The high-speed models are capable of covering a distance of 50 km on a single charge that’s why these types of vehicles will be provided to the people under this scheme.
